Griplist started as a great idea from people working in the movie industry. Two professional grips who felt the need for a comprehensive database of gear. Since this market is so niche that this didn’t exist yet. We developed a mobile app and web dashboard for them, they already got some of the industry’s top manufacturers to sign up over 250 products.
The Griplist mobile application is basically the most comprehensive database of grip material on the planet. It contains a set of almost 400 niche products in 50 different categories. The app also contains almost 10.000 specifications about all these products. Keep in mind we are not talking about off the shelf camera's and lenses here, but highly specialized, expensive gear that are often hard to find. This the stuff James Bond movies are shot with.
On the app users can create a list of their personal favorite equipment and will receive push notifications when something new shows up.
The mobile app also contains a map feature to find a ‘grip' (people with the skills to operate these tools) around your current location.
Techies out there might want to know that for this project, we went with Flutter to create iOS & Android native apps.
